We also aligned the tuner front-end for optimum performance as older tuner components have drifted over the years. The FM stereo indicator Lamp replaced as well as all dial lamps. Balance of lamps checked for luminosity. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves into static 8 & 4 ohm loads! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! All functions test fine. Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours. All functions test perfectly.    On our test bench, each internal amplifier of this particular unit produced peak power of 20 volts per channel at 8 ohms for 50 watts and 17 volts per channel at 4 ohms for 72 watts via discrete outputs (2x D716 and 2x B686).     ____________________________    Sleek, clean and elegant. This HK 460i stereo receiver is the ideal unit for any small to medium-large size system. Silver matte face and matching knobs. If you're an HK fan this would make a great heart for any medium size Hi-Fi audio system. We ran it in the shop for about a week, and it was a pleasure to use. Didn't want to pull it down from the burn-in bench as it picked up stations and had "tone to die for". Features include:   - Weighted flywheel analog "Slide-Rule" tuning - A, B, A+B or OFF speaker positions  - Tone defeat for direct coupled audio chain.
