warrantyKENWOOD C-2 C2 STEREO PRE-AMPLIFIER AMP Circa '78-'83 for sale We have completely gone through this unit, cleaning inside and out including all contacts, switches and controls. All functions tested for perfect operation. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! *Unfortunately this one currently has a couple of issues in that the two knobs that control the phono cartridge type and balance are missing (they are the same as the headphone level knob. These are not controls you would generally be manipulating often, or you could exchange with the headphone knob). Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours. ____________________________ Versatile Kenwood C-2 Pre-amp / control center. Would match up well with any power amp and is very "utilitarian". Loaded with "real world" features. Unit works well and sounds great! All new lamps installed for years of trouble-free service (this alone requires about 2 hours of tech time. Total time invested into check-up / restore 8.5 hours). All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves into static 8 & 4 ohm loads! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! All functions test fine. warrantyAKAI AM-2400 AM2400 STEREO INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER Circa 1977-'79 MIJ for sale This unit has had complete service including cleaning everything including all switches, controls and contacts. Only issue is the the power switch would not turn "off", nor was one available, so it was "shunted-ON" so to the unit will need to be powered off with a switched AC outlet or similar. Other than that refurbishment came out fine. All inputs tested and both side produces clean and even sine waves into static 8 & 4 ohm loads! No power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent! All functions test fine. Following restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously at medium volume, as all our amplifier / receivers are, into a load with "Loudness" on and both Tone Controls at 10 for 48 hours. While this unit was originally rated at 40 wpc, our test bench, the internal amplifiers produced 22 volts per channel for 60 watts per channel at 8 Ω and 22 volts at 4 Ω for 76 watts per channel via discrete, metal cased, TO-3 style outputs @ 1khz. ____________________________ Great looking, very versatile, Loud and Punchy, Akai AM-2400, integrated amplifier. The Yamaha DSP-A2070, 5-Channel, 350** watt A/V integrated amplifier. From Yamaha literature, "The DSP-A2070 breaks new ground. The A2070 provides the most versatile control and switching yet on a Yamaha product. It's also the first Yamaha component to provide digitally processed Dolby Pro Logic and Cinema DSP with Pro Logic Enhanced and 70mm Theater settings". Probably the best thing about the Yamaha DSP-Axxx units from this era are that they are utilizing Class A/B amp designs instead of the newer, lightweight, cheap Class "D" designs coming out of most of the Chinese products you see currently on the market for less than $1000. That is why the older gear generally sounds vastly better than the new gear for regular, old 2 channel audio listening. The new stuff is fine for watching movies and TV, but typically horrid sounding for listening to CD's, Vinyl or quality tapes. Comes with it's original "learning" Infrared *remote control.
