OAK TREE
AC-20OT
DOUBLE CONDUCTOR
BRAIDED SHIELD
20'
GUITAR / INSTRUMENT CABLE
for sale
Serious quality, 20 foot Guitar / Instrument connection
cable. I have sold these for years. They come with a lifetime warranty, that
is very rarely needed! Double (redundant) 20 gauge, center
conductors almost makes impossible ever having one go "dead" in the
middle of a show! 100% Braided copper shield (not spiral wrapped like
most cheaper cables) for silent / noise free operation (means less chance of
picking up a radio station or wireless mic during your performance). Super-quality, Neutrik, all metal 280, 1/4" ends / plugs that are shrink wrapped for extra
strain relief. The internals are hot-glued between to reduce internal
flexion for even greater longevity. Built by the largest manufactured cable
company in the US. Very rugged and durable, yet flexible jacket. These are
not the cheap cables, nor are they built like most cables. Cheaply!
These are
cables you can rely on night after night and be silent while they are
working.

TEISCO DEL REY'S
FIRST SOLID BODY
ELECTRIC GUITAR
MODEL J-1 J1
JAPANESE 2 PICK-UP
"LP-Style"
Circa 1954-later 50's
GUITAR FOR SALE
Teisco's very FIRST solid body electric guitar, the 1954 Teisco,
Model J-1. 1 single coil Pickup. Front plate says, "NIHON ONPA KOGYO CO. LTD
TEISCO". Back plate says, "TEISCO ELECTRIC GUITER MODEL J1". Yes, Guitar is
misspelled as "GUITER"!. Maple neck is a "ball bat" with very pronounce "V".
Guitar is currently set up for slide with "flat-wounds". VERY ROUGH
CONDITION and lots of "character". Where to start, hm....? Firstly it has
termite, yes, termite damage to the back. Don't ask me how, I don't know.
The top is veneered with a beautiful quilted maple, but is missing a big
section on the front. The tailpiece is missing it's cover. The wood bridge
is partially inverted and sagging, due to string tension. The pick guard is
warped (normal to many vintage guitars). We're pretty sure the brown
bakelite knobs, while cool, are not original. Some of the frets have been
changed, mostly by removing from the last 6 slots and relocated. 95% of the
veneer is missing from the back. The tuners are mostly original with a
couple of replacement gears. A couple of the tuner button shafts are bent,
but tuners still function. The great thing is the way it is currently set
up, it makes a heck of a "slide guitar". The original pickup sounds
incredible through both our shop Trace Elliot and Marshall JCM-800!!! No case
included.

ZON
BUBINGA
ELITE LEGACY 5 STRING BASS
GUITAR FOR SALE
WOW! This thing is incredible. One of the nicest instruments we have ever
played and we've had, played and sold a few hundred over the past 20
years! Can't say enough about this bass. It's a pre-owned Zon Legacy Elite
series 5-string model featuring a beautiful book-matched solid Bubinga
wood top over a solid Mahogany wood body. A solid graphite neck /
fingerboard utilizing a sculpted body neck joint finishes off the basic
construction of the instrument. Huge tone is delivered via 2 active
Bartolini pickups that feature controls for volume, bass, midrange, treble
and balance. This bass has had the electronics modified by Zon to move the
midrange control from the access hole in the back cover to a matching pot
located in the control section on the front of the bass. While at Zon to
get the custom electronics installed, the original owner had new
frets and a new finish coat added. Figured as long as it was there
"what the heck". Tuning is accomplished via the 5 German made
Schaller tuning machines in the same gold plate finish as the solid cast
bridge. The solid graphite neck features a full 2 octave neck with 24
frets and a 34" long scale. This bass is a dream to play! Just about
as good as it gets. There's not a mark on it anywhere. It looks brand new!
Rock solid and stays in tune. Set up perfectly! Includes original Zon Soft
exterior hard shell case on black Cordura.

CUSTOM RE-BUILT
FRETLESS
4-STRING
ELECTRIC BASS GUITAR
GUITAR FOR SALE
Interesting cosmetics and great playing 4-string,
Factory, but "custom re-built" Fretless bass. Appears to be re-finished. I had to buy this,
as I recognized it immediately as a great "player", fretless bass.
Adjustable P-J passive / dynamic pickup configuration sounds great. Separate
volume and tone controls. Appears to be a "re-finish", in interesting
"Fleck-Tone" gray paint. We think it is not the original finish, but it
could be original. Someone did an incredible job it if is a re-fin, as the
routed edges are perfectly finished and all parts had to have been removed
with room made for the extra finish thickness. No worries about finger
prints with this one. Un-bound, graphite? or other synthetic material, ebony
black fingerboard w/ dot inlay side markers on a solid mahogany neck
with a 4-bolt neck joint. Black anodized tail piece perfect and
rust-free. Finger board near new condition. Features 4 high quality,
"sealed" tuning machines that work perfectly and hold tune. Plays and
sounds great! Lots of fun.
We have completely done a "Pro" set up on the guitar,
adjusting the neck and action for great playability (clearance at the 9th
fret = .012 when fretted at the first and the body), adjusting / checking
the intonation (adjusted perfectly!). 34.5" scale length. Plays and sounds great. We also
installed a new set of .040 "Round-wound" strings (yes I know flat
wounds are more correct for fretless, but I prefer a bit more brightness.
You are free to install flats once you own it). No case or bag included.

TEISCO DEL REY
ELECTRIC GUITAR
SOLD 4/23/07
MODEL ET-440 / 460?
"Shark-Fin"
JAPANESE 4 PICK-UP
Circa 1965-66
GUITAR FOR SALE
1960's Teisco Del Rey, Model ET-44? Electric Guitar. 4 single coil Pickups. Great, original
Black / Green burst finish. '57 Chevy style aluminum pick guard. "Shark-Fin"
headstock. Rosewood fingerboard. Original 4+2 tuners with cast cover. 4-bolt
neck joint with an adjustable truss rod. Bridge adjustable for height,
intonation and string spacing. 4-Square pole pickups, 4 pots, 4 pickup
selectors and a 3 position rotary wafer switch. Some of the pots do things
and some don't either by modification or design. The rotary switch simply
acts as an On / Off switch. Guitar works great the way it is, or could be
configured other ways as well. We have not modified it since we acquired it
8 years ago. It's spent most of it's time in the box, until I decided to get
around to listing it. Missing
whammy bar as are most every Teisco we have ever owned.
The bridge pickup has had one of it's mounting screws changed.
The finish is in exceptional
shape for a 40 year old guitar (while the photos
make the guitar look black the finish is actually a dark green to black
burst). Plays and sounds great. Not many finish chips. Very shiny. Frets in
near new shape with virtually no wear. We have
completely done a "Pro" set up on the guitar, including cleaning all the
electronics, oiling the fingerboard,
nut checked for correct height, neck angle checked, pickup heights checked
and adjusted, adjusting the neck and action for great playability (clearance at the 9th
fret = .008 when fretted at the first and the body (super low)) adjusting /
checking the intonation (adjusted perfectly!) and cleaning and
polishing entire instrument. This is our old shops standard $75 tune-up. Plays and sounds great. We also
installed a new set of .009 strings. No case

GIBSON LES PAUL
"GOLDTOP"
SOLD 5/18/06
DELUXE -> STANDARD CONVERSION
ELECTRIC GUITAR
GUITAR FOR SALE*
1975 Gibson Les Paul "Goldtop", Deluxe to Standard
conversion,
Electric Guitar. This is from my personal collection. I have another and
mostly play my Strat and Tele for the music I'm doing now, so it's time to
thin the herd (be aware that I might change my mind about selling it). Great, original
Gold Top finish with nice checking. I was actually trying find one with a
lot of "green" wear on the top of the body, but this one still has some good
character (I hate shiny guitars). Plenty of wear to the finish on the back
(see photos). Other than a pickup change and strap button change, the guitar
is as I bought it used. When I purchased it there was a set of THC, PAF'S
installed (don't ask, they're gone). Personally, I didn't care for them for
a few reasons, so I replaced the front with a new, Gibson 490R, AlNiCo II
and a Seymour Duncan, Seth Lover in the bridge. Pots have been
replaced and the selector switch appears to be original. It already had the
Deluxe to Standard conversion work done (no the truss rod cover is not the
original, as it should say deluxe). I believe the bridge and tailpiece are
newer units as they shine too much for the rest of the guitar. The jack
plate has been changed from plastic to metal. I installed the Schaller strap
lock buttons. The tuning machines have been changed to sealed Grovers. The
headstock has been re-fin'd in the back, from an what looks to be repairs
around the tuners. In doing so, the serial was made very faint, and only
somewhat readable. Appears to be "92?128". Has the 70's volute for added
headstock strength. Bound, Rosewood fingerboard. Mahogany neck. Plays
and sounds great. Original frets have normal amount of
wear with plenty of years left in them. Neck and action is adjusted
perfectly (for me anyway) and I did guitar set-ups for 12 years at a Fender
/ Gibson / Martin / Yamaha / etc dealership at $45-$150 a pop. I have sold
guitars for many years and have been to "vintage" shows, so I'm fairly
versed in guitar speak. This is not a "minty" show piece. If that's what
you're looking for, then buy another guitar. This is a player's guitar. The
guitar has not had the headstock broken off however like many used Gibsons. We have
completely done a "Pro" set up on the guitar, including cleaning all the
electronics, tightening machines, oiling the fingerboard,
adjusting the neck and action for great playability (clearance at the 9th
fret = .012 when fretted at the first and the body) and cleaning and
polishing. STAYS IN TUNE!!! I play it though all three of my amps, a Trace
Elliot "Super Tramp", Marshall JCM-800 and a '67 Fender Super Reverb
(original). Plays and sounds great for about any
type of music, except the currently installed pickups are probably too hot
for jazz. We also
installed a new set of .010 strings. The cream colored pick guard and chrome
bracket is in the case pocket, I just removed it as I don't play with them
installed on any of my Pauls. It's in fine shape if you wish to install it.
Guitar weighs in at 10.5 lbs, assuming our UPS scale is reasonably correct.
Original Gibson, Les Paul case with the purple
lining
included (the lockable latch is locked "open" and we do
not have a key. Case still stays closed with the other latches. It was that
way when I bought it years back).
Cosmetic Cond. 7.5 to average
person. To me, it's a thing of beauty at 11! So there!

TW-100T
TRAVELING WILBURYS MODEL
"Short-Scale"
ELECTRIC GUITAR
Circa 1990's
SOLD 6/27/06
GUITAR FOR SALE
Excellent condition Traveling Wilbury's solid body
electric guitar. Each Gretsch TW-100T is unique in it's graphics.
Featuring a solid maple neck and an ebony colored finger
board
w/ dot inlays and
no fret wear.
Fully adjustable "Strat-style" tremolo / bridge including whammy bar. One
single coil pickup and a volume control. Only the
most minor of wear to the finish.
We
have completely done a "Pro" set up on the guitar, including cleaning all the
electronics, tightening and lubing the
machines, oiling the fingerboard, adjusting the neck and action for great
playability (clearance at the 9th fret = .010 when fretted at the first and
the body), adjusting / checking the intonation (adjusted perfectly!), cleaning and
polishing. One of the best things about this guitar is the modification to a
factory flaw that most TW's we've seen have. The finger board is too long
from the nut to the first fret, thus most all of these we have seen will not
intonate, thus not play in tune. We had a compensated nut, modified
and installed on this one (see photo collage). I don't know where they
acquired it, but it worked like a charm. Plays and sounds great. We also
installed a new set of .010 "Round-wound" strings. Guitar looks near
new and plays great. No case.
